The world is (not yet) perfect

Give the world

The world is not yet perfect. That's quite an understatement. But we can all do something to make it a better place, and one of them is to donate to organizations working in different fields. Here's a very short selection of them.

Sea Shepherd

Sea Shepherd is an international non-profit, marine wildlife conservation organization. Their mission is to end the destruction of habitat and slaughter of wildlife in the world's oceans in order to conserve and protect ecosystems and species. They do so through many campaigns, protecting dolphins (mediatizing the annual slaughter of dolphins in Taiji, Japan), seals (85,000 baby seal pups yearly beaten to death for their pelts in the Namibia desert), sharks (the finning toll is as high as 10,000 sharks killed per hour worldwide), and whales (the Japanese whaling fleet is still doing its so-called “scientific research” in the Antarctic Sanctuary).

Greenpeace

Greenpeace is an independent campaigning organization which uses non-violent, creative confrontation to expose global environmental problems to force the solutions which are essential to a green and peaceful future. Their core values are bearing witness, non violence, independence, and the promotion of solutions.

Survival

Survival, the movement for tribal peoples, is the only organization working for tribal peoples' rights worldwide. They investigate the atrocities committed against tribal peoples, then expose the situation, telling the public what's going on and focusing their concern into action which brings results. They set up campaigns with clear objectives, like stopping the loggers and oil companies from entering uncontacted tribes' land in Peru, or protecting the sacred mountain of the Dongria Kondh people of India from an open-mine project.

EURORDIS

EURORDIS is a non-governmental patient-driven alliance of patient organisations and individuals active in the field of rare diseases, dedicated to improving the quality of life of all people living with rare diseases in Europe.
If you know other organizations, thank you to add them in the comments.
